China's overseas finance is becoming increasingly influential globally. Since the OBOR policy, China's outward FDI has shifted its focus from energy to transport; and from the Middle East, Africa, and Europe to Southeast and Central Asia.

High jobless rate or high debt rate are serious challenges in more than half of the OBOR countries, credit rating have not met investment standards. Therefore there are significant risks to Chinese investment.
